About PetersonPC
Owned and operated by myself, Rodney Peterson. I've had a life long love and talent with computers. I can remember back in elementary school one of my good friends and I used to make the weekly crossword puzzle for our class on an old Apple IIe computer. And also get a few games of Oregan Trail in from time to time! I think this is where my fire was born.
From there I began to play around with computers any chance I got. Several of my friends had Commodore 64s or Apples. The more I got to learn about them the more I wanted to learn! This followed me all through high school as I took Dos Programming and all other computer related classes I could find.
Once out of school I began working at Glen Raven in Burnsville. Not really computer related at first but I have been involved with Oracle, Jomar, and several other software systems there. And currently still communicate with the IT guy almost daily about hardware, software, repairing, etc.
I have also attended many seminars from Compumaster, MCC, WCI, etc. And while I have learned a lot from these...I honestly have to say the majority of my computer know-how has came from simple internet research and good ole trial and error. No better way to learn than to just jump in and do it.
So why build, upgrade, clean, and repair PCs? I just love working on them. I enjoy the idea of doing something I love and at the same time educating others and saving them some money as well. The big companies (Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.) have really started building some second-rate systems lately. Then by the time the nuts at Best Buy or Circuit City talk you into a wad of software you don't need, it costs you a fortune to buy a PC from one of these places...and they are crap.
I offer first quality computer systems, upgrades and repair at a fair price. And I will stand behind my work and the parts.
